About:
ftp.proxy is an application level gateway for FTP. It allows either forwarding to a specific host or optional client side server selection w/o allowed host list, access and command control trough external programs.

good in intranet, but outside a FW I have problems

I have problems using it to proxy outside of my wirewall. I've tried with
my IT guy to let it work, but it seems it is not a problem of my FW. It
hangs when the server I asked for is contacted.
I miss some info to go on, perhaps, but I can't get in touch with the
author of this project.
I hope in this comment...
