gCAD3D is a 3D CAD-CAM application that features an integrated 3D OpenGL viewer, a program interpreter for geometry and NC-commands in 3D, an integrated NC-processor, and a programming interface for user programs. It has support for importing Step files and support for both importing and exporting Iges, DXF, and VRML files.

Changes: This release creates parametric points upon selection of surface. Segfaults at startup have been fixed for Puppy Linux.


Changes: The ability to create a curve from intersection surface x surface (CAD/INT intersect) was added. A problem with "((" in the formulaInterpreter was fixed. A bug which produced the error message, "cannot support textures," was fixed. A bug in exporting subModels as VRML-1 and VRML-2 fixed.


Changes: This release adds names for objects, objectLists ("Search/Name"), and the ability to filter objects with name/information.


Changes: This release uses JPEG images for textures. It has interactive modification of the scale/position of textures. The Windows port uses GTK 2.12.
