Changes: The color mosaic activity was crashing when a target button was clicked.

Changes: Many potential crashes in the key_press activity callback were fixed. The fallback directory was fixed for the English locale. The Canada region map was created for the geography country activity. There are now more than 10 voice file packages, and they are used by the algebra activity. In chess, the left lower corner square (a1 in algebraic notation) is now the dark color. Support for Urdu was added, including voices. Bulgarian voices were added.

Changes: A crash that happened when you clicked on an image once it is fully erased was fixed. In enumerate_create_item, a reference to a freed pixmap that could crash or display broken images in the buttons was fixed. A 'DeprecationWarning: integer argument expected, got float' message was fixed. The hack to force gnomecanvas symbols to not be stripped was fixed.

Changes: Major strucural changes, packagers please take care: sdl_mixer has been replaced by gstreamer. GCompris has been switched to the GPL v3 and later. Now all voices are in a separate SVN module. The voices must now be put under boards/voices/ instead of boards/sounds/. To get the voices installed in the proper place, simply run "make update-voices". Voices have been re-encoded in a lower bit rate, saving 40MB on the tarball. Internal static gnomecanvas and libart.

Changes: GCompris was asserting when you clicked on the target image in the missingletter activity. GCompris was unstable in Spanish and in any locale where there are no spoken congratulation. Even if they were present, audio congratulations were not played on Windows. All of these problems were fixed.

Just an idea: how about to build in the ability to play music CDs while the program is running? For example, there could simply be buttons "play" and "stop" in the panel.
