Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo is a self-booting Gentoo Linux-based LiveCD, allowing you to play the demo using any modern PC with an NVIDIA GeForce 2 or greater graphics card and a CD-ROM drive. It has full networking, complete OSS sound support, and additional Creative Soundblaster Live! and Audigy support included, allowing for the full gaming experience including LAN/Internet play, OpenAL environmental audio, and 3D accelerated OpenGL graphics.

Changes: Latest NVIDIA drivers (1.0.4349) with GeForce FX support are included, along with a highly-optimized gaming kernel, full hardware autodetection (network, input, and video), the latest build of ut2003-demo (2206) with tons of in-game enhancements and fixes, and preliminary bootsplash support.

Changes: The new CD requires Pentium or greater, and is optimized for P6-class systems. Support was added for monitors with and without EDID support. The ut2k3 demo is now at the 1080c patchlevel. An option to cache entire demo to RAM for systems with >=512MB RAM and wheel mouse support were added, and a SoundBlaster PCI 512 auto-detection fix was made.
