GPSBabel

GPSBabel converts waypoint data between about fifty file formats, including Magellan and Garmin serial, Garmin USB, Mapsource, Mapsend, Streets & Trips, Delorme, National Geographic, many PDA formats, and many others. It is endian and word-size safe, includes a GUI, and runs on a variety of operating systems. It also supports Groundspeak GPX extensions for geocaching.

Changes: File format support was added for NMEA and XSV realtime tracking output, TomTom POI ascii files and Iteneraries, Garmin POI gpi files, and Geogrid viewer for tracklogs. Multiple URLs are supported in GDB and GPX. Enhancements were made to KML output for Google Earth. Wintec/G-ray/WBT 201 is supported. Microsecond resolution was added in many formats. NMEA was enhanced for Sony GPS and GISTeq. You may now help support the project via Google Checkout in addition to Paypal.

Changes: This release adds Linux and OS X support for Garmin USB units, Windows GUI improvements, formats for GPX 1.1, Ipod/Vcard/VCF, Keyhole, Lowrance, Hiketech, Google Map, and Garmin Logbook, and GPS hardware support for Garmin Quest and Magellan FX324 units.

Changes: This version adds support for about a dozen new file formats, notably including Garmin Mapsource/.mps and Microsoft Streets & Trips. It introduces support for tracks and routes for the major formats. This release also debuts a number of filtering capabilities.
