Hanzim ("Hanzi Master") is an interactive visual dictionary for learning and seeing relationships between Chinese radicals, characters, and compounds. All the characters with a given radical, phonetic component, or pronunciation can be displayed, and all words containing a character, with English meanings. All data is stored locally. Either simplified or traditional characters can be used.

BTW, in case anyone is interested, this program DOES work on Windows (with Tcl/Tk installation), but right now it has a few rough edges, since I am not Windows expert enough to get all the right ifdefs in. A binary compiled with VC++ 6.0 and a suitable makefile comes with it, but I haven't been able to test it with the various 16-bit font-handling frameworks available on different Windows versions. Contributions and assistance are welcome. It should work as well on the Macintosh, but I haven't had access to a development machine to make the necessary tweaks...
