IceS

Ices is an mp3 streamer for the icecast system, and is developed by the icecast team. It is a replacement for Shout, and its features include embedded perl and python scripting, reencoding, and xml config files.

Changes: The reencoder has been updated to the new LAME 3.88 API. There is a new option --with-xmlconfig when building to locate XML libraries. Configure now looks for python 2. There is a new command-line option -V for version/feature info. The cue file song length field is now correct. The BaseDirectory configuration option works. Support for using an installed libshout has been added. There are fixes to the metadata update (first song metadata is now set).
