IMAPEngine

IMAPEngine is an IMAP server that uses a tdbengine database structure to store all accounts, messages, and mailboxes. This means it has nearly no limits in numbers, sizes, and performance, and it uses indexes to sort/find its data. IMAPEngine is IMAP4Rev1 compatible and also has built-in support for the ACL, ID, IDLE, and UIDPLUS extensions. It is not (yet) an MTA, but it retrieves incoming messages from different POP3 servers. An simple integrated Web interface makes account configuration easy.

Changes: This release fixed a database handling bug that caused Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0+ and probably several other IMAP clients to always receive the very first message body in combination with email headers from other messages. Another annoying bug that caused the server to hang when clients sent the APPEND command too often in a row was aksi fixed.

Changes: This version introduced a new integrated Web configuration tool running on its own mini Web server. Setup of new email accounts is now really easy. The protocol can handle the following extensions: ACL, ID, IDLE, and UIDPLUS. The server can now be used for "Disconnected IMAP" as it is supported by KMail or Thunderbird. All emails are fetched from existing POP3 servers.
