Infinity is a visualization plugin with light effects originally written for XMMS and now ported to Audacious. It supports full-screen mode, mouse resizing, and saved preferences. It is designed to be as end-user oriented as possible, so installation and manipulation are kept simple. It requires SDL and GTK+ 2.0 to run, and doesn't require 3D acceleration support.

Changes: This version is the first port to the Audacious media player. This beta does not support navigation keys in interactive mode and also does not support configuration of plugin parameters.

Changes: An option was added to let see the current play title on the Infinity's title bar. There is support for the new vectorization features that come with GCC 4.

Changes: Some modules have been examined in depth using tools like splint and valgrind, many cleanups have been performed, and two serious bugs have been fixed: a memory leak and a semaphore that was released too early. This release also fix bugs #1105207 and #1106762, related to 64-bit architectures.

Changes: It is now possible to change the maximum frames per second through the configure dialog. Also the plugin can be disabled by just closing the plugin window, and all the current parameters are automatically saved. A building problem on Fedora Core 2 has been fixed, and Infinity now comes with MMX support enabled by default.

Changes: xmms playback can now be controlled when the focus is on infinity (even on fullscreen) through the "zxcvb" keys. The main volume can be set and songs fast-forwarded and rewound with the arrow keys. A major building problem with Fedora Core 2 was fixed.

this is a great plugin... i have it maximized, no border,
and stuck below all other windows in kde. that makes
it look like the visualization is the desktop
background, and although it does take up ~half the
processor, it looks really cool.
