To help with any confusion
Iozone has been available for over 10 years. A new project called "piozone" has popped up. It is not related to Iozone. If you have any problems with it then you need to contact its author. Although it is clearly a name grab, all efforts to get its name changed have failed. So, please, when it fails to even compile, please contact its author and remember that it is not associated, even remotely, with Iozone.

Link to another benchmark
Iozone provides extensive capabilities but is a bit complex to use. If you just need a quick wet thumb on I/O performance, take a look at Bonnie.
