iStumbler
iStumbler is a small utility for finding local wireless networks and services. iStumbler combines a compact Aqua user interface with advanced wireless scanning and reporting.

Changes: This release reintroduced a GPS plugin that works with any NMEA serial or Bluetooth GPS device. This release also included new preferences for setting the font size and toolbar style as well as improvements to the plugin system and better support for help. The new Subscribe plugin makes it easy to subscribe to iStumbler and get early access to new releases and help support further development of cutting edge wireless tools.

Changes: This release featured a thorough face-lift. The AirPort, Bluetooth, and mDNS plugins now display icons for various items. The menus for the AirPort and Bluetooth plugins were greatly improved and their resize behavior was tuned up. Behind the scenes improvements to stability, memory, and processor usage made this the most reliable release yet.

Changes: This release updates the plugin interface to support logging and other cross-plugin communication, and improves the Log plugin which can now selectively display notifications based on user preferences. Beginning with Release 90, you can support iStumbler by subscribing to new releases. For $1 per release, subscribers will receive copies of iStumbler via email 24 hours before the general release.

Changes: This release updates the internal AirPort Plugin to bring back noise reporting for AirPort Extreme radios, and updates the user interface to display all the radio's properties. This release also introduces the Bluetooth plugin, which reports on bluetooth devices used by your computer.

Changes: This release updates the plugin loader, and introduces the built-in Log Plugin and the optional GPS plugin, which integrates iStumbler with any GPS that supports the NMEA protocol over a serial or bluetooth connection. This release has been completely remade into an extensible, high performance wireless scanning utility. Plugins provide flexibility, aggressive multi-threading improves performance, and it monitors the network you've joined as well as nearby networks.
