JDistro is a project to build a Java distribution. The main subprojects are a shared runtime, an application launcher, a Swing desktop with document management, a transparent virtual file system, and an access to remote applications.

Changes: This release provides new jsh commands (expr, gc, ping, and stat), chat in Yak, and a djrate client. It also updates asm and the sound player.


Changes: This release fixes the black tooltip bug on JRE 1.5. It also allows a stack of dialog boxes. There are some new shell commands, improvements for the included utilities, and bugfixes.


Changes: This release switches to the 'standard' native drag and drop for better integration, and adds support for resizing windows and for transparent windows. The second draft of Isolation API has been implemented, and edition in terminal improved. There is BZip2 support, script entities, and bugfixes.


Changes: This release includes new features like shell completion and new shell commands, full themeability and some updates like improved compatibility and an updated Russian translation.


Changes: This release includes many new shell commands, audio themes (and events), icon themes, custom cursors, Mezzo UI mode, an optional menu bar, and improved compatibility. A lot of cleanup has been done that will increase the modularity.

Blank white
I just get a blank white screen when I try to run it under windows 2000 from the jar file. java -jar weirdx-1.0.31.jar. Looks like a cool program though. I would like to give it a try if someone can tell me how to get around this problem.
