Changes: Detection of stale lock files works again, the "PPP support is missing" warning is no longer fatal in case the check breaks with future kernel versions, line termination defaults to CR instead of CR/LF since the LF can be responsible for timeout errors and calculation for statistic window data will no longer be paused if the window is minimized.

Changes: solved "kppp's helper process just died" errors that were reported on SuSE and Caldera systems, bugfix for "Timeout expired" errors, more reliable parsing of CONNECT speed, support of pppd 2.3.6 and pppd 2.3.7 and fix for Alpha processors.
