libole2

libole2 provides an API to access OLE2 streams as used by Microsoft in their compound files. Such common file formats as Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Visio use this system.

        ok, the CVS repository confused me as it only has a
        copy of the LGPL and not the GPL in it

        the README says it is GPL

        the commit message for COPYING.LIB says

        "1.1 mmeeks "2002-03-06 05:20" upd license."

        so it *might* have actualy changed ...

        Why would you say so? The tarball contains a copy of the GPL.
