About:
Linux-Kontor is a project for the development of a free business management software suite. Core components of this suite are the commodities, bookkeeping, accountancy, and inventory management modules. Platform-independence, Internet capabilities, and scalability are the three main design requirements. The developers have decided to use Java and a three-tier client-server architecture. The data is stored in an SQL database.

The Linux-Kontor team has decided to host the project at SourceForge. In the next days we will move the CVS, mailing lists and maybe the web pages to the SourceForge machines.

I have moved the web pages to a new server and enhanced the layout and content.
The english pages are now under http://www.linux-kontor.de/en/, Italian, Spanish and Hungarian pages are in preparation. Please contact me if you want to help translating.

I have set up a Mailing list for English speaking people.
The list address is kontor_en@ios-online.de, to subscribe/unsubscribe send an email to kontor_en-request@ios-online.de.

This list is not yet separated for development and usage, so feel free to write anything you want. Needless to say that the preferred language on this list is English ;)
