linuxsms
Linuxsms is a Perl script to send SMS to GSM phones. There is support for multiple servers/gateways (some servers require registration). The script has an adressbook, the ability to compress SMS, and the ability to check for new versions.

Hi i'm portuguese also, what server do you use for portuguese cellphones? i only can use firstwap and it doesnt work for optimus network

yes, it is a very good program, I use it to send messages to portuguese cell-phones. :)
The best program for spanish users of cellular phones
This is the fastest program I have ever seen for message sending. You can send sms through the console, and also you can use the gui. I like a lot the system to manage your friends its simple but powerful. I give it a 10. (Sorry my english)
