mail2sms
mail2sms converts a (MIME) mail to a short message, allowing search/replace, conditional rules, date/time dependent actions, customizing the output format, etc. The output defaults to 160 characters, which is perfectly suitable for sending the text to a GSM telephone as an SMS message. This software does not include any code for actually sending the text to anything else but another program or stdout.

Changes: Bugfixes were made for lines starting with "From ". Support for overly long MIME encoded-words was improved. The use of a signed char as an array index was fixed. The 'wday' problem was removed.

Changes: The quoted-printable decoder now handles CRLF better. A problem with string buffers that weren't zero terminated was fixed. An unsigned problem in getname() that made certain 8-bit characters get shown as space was fixed. More complete CRLF fixes were added.

Changes: This release adds better CRLF treatment, better Content-Transfer-Encoding parsing in multipart mails, and the option '-n' works anywhere on the command line!
