MailBridge
MailBridge, together with a server side implementation, tunnels POP and SMTP access through an HTTP connection which easily passes a firewall via a proxy. It acts as a local POP and SMTP server, so users can use their favorite mail clients to receive and send email.

Changes: A nasty bug that prevented the program from starting was fixed. The documentation was updated and was added to the Win32 installer. Several libraries were updated as well.

Changes: The behavior of the systray icons has been fixed and the implementation has been changed from Systray4J to SWT. The SWT (and other components) have been updated. The mailer has been switched to phpmailer to add more flexibility. This enables the user to use a remote SMTP server. A quick-install guide has been added.

Changes: An override option was added to continue even if the .lock file was found. That's more convenient if the program was aborted, but should be used carefully so as not to start two instances. When using the installer, the contents of the lib/ directory are now deleted. This makes sure that no old and unnecessary jars are left over. The version check message box is a bit more informative, telling you which version is available and which you're running. If the systray icon is clicked once, a quick check is performed. More code was cleaned up.

Changes: Several bugs were fixed. Mail transmission to the email client was buggy if certain special characters appeared in the message. Unnecessary HTTP requests were eliminated, the hsqldb jar was updated, and the database size was improved.
