[»] Supplemental Index Results
by walter hempe - Mar 12th 2007 12:57:45

If you run Mambo on large website you will deal a lot with Supplemental Index Results in Google, especially if you change the structure of the site after some time of running it.

by Moritz Barsnick - Dec 9th 2005 04:21:02

4.5.3 fixes a very critical vulnerability!

See the disclosure http://www.derkeiler.com/Mailing-Lists/Full-Disclosure/2005-11/0535.html.
An actual worm "Linux/Elxbot" has been seen "in the wild", check http://www.outpost24.com/ops/delta/news/News.jsp?XID=1157.

Please update!

Consider checking out Joomla as well. A mambo fork by many of the original mambo developers

[»] Mambo is great
by webfitz - Jul 16th 2003 02:37:20

Of all the open source CMS's I've tried, this is by far the best one. And with the upcoming new release, it'll be even better
Easy to install, quick to learn and simple to use

It sounds at least strange that a open source project is not www3 and mozilla compliant. The site displays well and it's admin interface is useable only in IExplorer. Please start thinking about GNU/Linux and mozilla. IExplorer is a paine in the ass.
    TIA.

I've tried several other different CMS (drupal, tiki, ariadne, phpwebsite...etc), and Mambo seems to be the best one with fastest response time also fully featured. I've tried the admin interface on both IE and Mozilla, everything works out wonderfully~!

What would you prefer, that some of us have to try it without mysql? That's like saying you don't like to fill up your car with gas. Neither do I. But, the alternative of pushing my car around by hand is less appealing. MySQL adds critical features, like every other project out there that uses it, you have to go and install it to take advantage of the features it offers.

Look at the date of my post. For sure i wrote the comment because it was never explicitly mentioned that MySQL is needed or somewhere was written "needs SQL Database". Probably only in the install guide. i donīt know, itīs from a long time ago. >MySQL adds critical features, like every other project out there that uses it, you have to go and install it to take advantage of the features it offers. Yes, MySQL is critical in the same sense like a nuclear reactor that goes critical . Try something that really works, like PostgreSQL.

Who needs anything else highly configurable and the best php website package i have found to date.

Installation is fairly straight forward on freebsd. and it was up and running on 4 domains in 45 minutes once i had worked out what i needed.

congratulations and keep this software free.
