MP3-Database

MP3-Database is a tool to organize your MP3 collection. If you insert a CD with MP3 files in your CDROM drive, MP3DB can read all ID3 tags of the MP3 files. With this information MP3DB creates a database which can be searched for a specific song, artist, or CD. A GUI makes it easy to use the program. Any title found in the database can easily be added to a playlist or can instantly be played by XMMS.

Changes: You can now add titles from different CDs to a playlist. If you play the playlist, mp3db prompts you to insert the CDs and then copies all the titles to your harddisk into an MP3 repository. The playlist view now shows you title, artist, and length of the title. A total time for the playlist is also calculated. Mp3db uses eject, if available, to open your CD drive automaticaly. Mp3db now uses the MP3-Info module to collect more detailed information about MP3 files including filesize, bitrate, frequency, and more.
