mp3butler.pl renames MP3 and Ogg audio files to a more shell friendly format of "the_artist-the_title-extra_info.mp3" and generates the required ID3v1/v2 info tags.

Changes: More punctuation rules were added and the -i option was fixed to be automatically set in certain cases.


Changes: The -s option was added to synchronize ID3 v1 and v2 tags. The new -z option removes ID3 v1/v2 tag blocks. -X renames a file based on ID3 artist and title. Parsing of option variables from the config file, environment variables, and command line was added. The config file was renamed to .mp3butlerrc. The failure to parse the -t option was fixed. More 8-bit characters in filenames are now removed.


Changes: The ability to lookup ID3 tags via the MusicBrainz DB was added with the help of the new id3butler.pl helper script. The -x option was added for searching and replacing patterns in ID3 tags. More punctuation rules were added. The .butlerrc config file is now automatically created.


Changes: The listing of ID3 tags was fixed for the case where a tag does not exist. More punctuation fixes were made for tagging. Use of the $BUTLER_CONFIG environment variable was added to define the location of the config file.
