Netpeep

Peep is a network monitoring tool that represents network information via audio output. Network diagnosis with Peep is made not only based on singular network events, but on whether the network as a whole "sounds normal."

Changes: Porting to *BSD, minor bugfixes, removal of bogus libwrap support, a fix for the out of range for states bug, a new user-contributed section in the clients, fixes for clients bombing when the configuration file is not found, and a fix for client installation issues.

Changes: An API for creating custom clients has been finalized and fully documented. New or improved clients include a pinger (to check host responsiveness) and a vastly improved sysmonitor (now monitors processes disk usage, and uptime). Clients now support e-mail notification. The configuration format has been updated and improved.

Changes: Clients have been re-architected to fit into the CPAN scheme and also now available over CPAN. Code was rewriten and bugfixes were made on the client and the server.
