Screenshot About:
A port of nIx step(blue) from Litestep thrown together with an early BlueHeart version. Makes for a unique theme unlike any other.(The theme's size may be rather large; but it's worth it!)

[»] Rocks =)

The "wharf" totally rocks - however, the fonts are quite small (e.g. in the menus, window titles etc).

[»] Great Theme
by N/A - Nov 22nd 2000 00:49:44

I'm a very new linux user, and I think your theme is awesome; "discovering" new features, bells and whistles, etc. is what makes learning about Linux and how to use Linux so much fun. Thanks for the theme.

[»] Hey! Cool theme..
by N/A - Feb 24th 2000 03:18:52

Have I seen those window-borders somewhere else before? Don't remember the name of that theme... damn. this was way cool man... COuld you tell me if the border on the theme came from an other theme, or if it's just me being dizzie?

The border graphics are from one of the very first releases of the blueheart theme. (used with permission)

Little tip on epplets....hold alt down while dragging an epplet or the iconbox to move them around. :)

[»] Hmmmmmm wharf ???
by N/A - Jan 11th 2000 08:48:41

Really like the theme, borders and all, but how do you turn the wharf on/off ??? Even from "totally clean" (all caches purged etc. etc.), the wharf never shows on my system...

Hmmm. maybe I should draw a map. Basically its the small little round button in the oval above the logout button. (it lights up). Also I don't recommend a resolution any smaller than 1024x768....

Okay, now for the imho funky stuff... The theme works fine and dandy when I started up X as root, all "unnecessary" stuff in .enlightenment taken care of... the wharf, and the described buttons worked just like it should. When the same was done as a regular user... tada ! no wharf, no buttons, no nuthin... I guess I'll put it in ~/.enlightenment/themes and see what happens then...

Yeah that's a wierd error....not a bug though; as I and countless others are able to use it as regular users.

...on a side note: The same fscking thing happens to themes like eMac, E-X as well, but only when using it as a "normal" user...

[»] You'v made me a believer...
by N/A - Jan 1st 2000 18:45:26

Let me start by saying what everyone else has, this theme kicks booty! I'v deleted more themes than I can remember, because of buttons that were impossible to get rid of, but your documentation for modifying the buttons, and the fact that they take up a side of the screen, not a little corner (which is really annoying) has made me a true believer... You have really outdone everyone else with your buttons... oh yeah, the borders and everything are cool too ;]

[»] Error message from theme
by N/A - Nov 7th 1999 13:42:44

nIx leaves this error message in the console that X was launched from: In file included: /home/jj/.enlightenment/themes/nIx/imageclasses.cfg:1: borders/default/default.cfg: No such file or directory It doesn't appear to do any harm, but I suspect whatever causing it should probably be fixed. Nice theme, by the way.

I have to agree with you... I went to xmms.org and downloaded the BlueHeart skin for xmms, it looks very good with the theme. I would even be even cooler if the skin was done in nIx. -jason

[»] I like the theme but....
by N/A - Oct 28th 1999 14:47:38

Where did that sound come from that is used when enlightenment starts up, the one about murdering the world? I installed this theme late at night and my roomates were gone, and well I found the phrase "disturbing".

[»] Great
by N/A - Oct 20th 1999 22:31:57

Absolutely Love this theme, I know buttons are _supposed_ to be a no no at the moment, but the bar is a winner...I love it. I really don't think I could praise it enough, this is just what I have been looking for... Some contructive points though, if you don't mind. I miss single clinking the mouse button on title bars for (un)shade. and a top -> bottom shaing for pagers would be cool also... For those people who haven't tried this theme yet, have a go, it really is nice to use and the button bar on the right is very useful. I will admit I havent fully explored the theme yet, but I am so excited about it I had to get a comment in :) Stewart Stewart.James@vu.edu.au
