NotNet Profiler

The NotNet (Notebook Network) Profiler lets you specify a Linux kernel boot parameter, then loads the chosen network scheme and starts chosen services (any init script). When logging in, a PAM module changes the browser's proxy configuration according to the current network scheme.

Changes: Service handling has been improved, so that every init script can be managed by NotNet now, and supported services are no longer hardcoded. The default scheme can be changed with the parameter "default_scheme". In addition to Opera and Mozilla, Firefox and Konqueror's proxy configuration can be managed by NotNet, too. README.grub has been added in order to show how to easily manage multiple schemes with grub. The NotNet Profiler no longer depends on Debian's invoke-rc.d and update-rc.d scripts, so a major step to support other distributions has been made.

Changes: The init script is now called /etc/init.d/notnet (the file extension .pl has been removed). The man page has been renamed. The same applies to /usr/bin/notnetlogin. The pam module is now dynamically linked. If no scheme or an invalid scheme name is specified, the "local" scheme is used. The init symlinks are no longer created manually, but with update-rc.d. The Perl helper files were moved from /usr/bin to /usr/lib/notnet. The Perl code and Makefile were cleaned up. Configuration examples were added.
