NoMachine NX is a fast terminal server and desktop virtualization system based on the X11 protocol. NX is an order of magnitude faster than VNC or X11 and can run on bandwidth as narrow as 10 kBit/sec. In addition, NX translates and embeds the MS Windows Terminal Server and VNC protocols into X/NX, enabling users to compress and accelerate remote Windows and VNC sessions. The NX project provides a suite of libraries and X11 proxying agents implementing efficient compression and optimized transport of X11, SMB, IPP, HTTP, and arbitrary protocols like audio and video over the Internet.

Changes: A problem in which the setup script may fail to set correct permissions on the NX Server Manager configuration file was fixed. The possible inability of the Server Manager to warn the administrator when the requested operation is not permitted on the server was fixed. A problem in which the disable/enable radio buttons in the NX Server configuration management interface may not have the default value checked was fixed.

Changes: This version solves a problem related to printers that cannot be removed when the session is disconnected. It also fixes some issues affecting the Core components. For example, the memory size of nxagent process could grow indefintely if PNG compression is in use, the NX session could cease to accept pointer or keyboard input, and the keyboard layout may fall back to English US on Solaris 8 and 9.

Changes: These packages include fixes for a number of problems. For instance, this release fixes a problem in which the NX Server wouldn't allow the user to run the unix-application session type when unix-console is disabled in profiles. It also fixes a problem in which the nxstat daemon may have a high CPU consumption.

Changes: This release includes the latest available version of NX Client 3.3.0, which solves some issues such as possible nxssh binary failure to start with the error "undefined symbol: EVP_Cipher", and error reporting possibly being incomplete in case of some printer sharing issues.

Changes: Error reporting was improved in the case of some printing sharing issues. The nxssh binary no longer fails to start with the error "undefined symbol: EVP_Cipher". Information about the remote node is now displayed properly in the caption of the NX session window.

Re: os x 2.1.0-9 client doesn't work for me
After a quick e-mail to nomachine, my problem was from
using a modified server. Very helpful support and definatly
the most useful piece of software I have used in a very long
time.
