OLIVER is MassGIS's OnLIne data ViewER. Written as a stand-alone Java application (and deployed via Java Web Start) it allows you to browse, view, and download (if supported) data from the MassGIS maintained WMS and WFS servers. In short, it is a specific take on a WMS/WFS client.

Changes: This release supports bookmarks and a new "Launch URL" tool. Bookmarks act as would be expected, while the Launch URL tool creates a URL which can be relayed to other users. Clicking on the URL will launch a new instance of OLIVER at the same extent and with the same layers as the original instance.

Changes: Minor bugfixes, but a major internal rearchitecture. A ZIP code is no longer require for geocoding, and there is now support for cross-street geocoding. The ability to zoom to a specific scale by double-clicking (or right-clicking) on the scale-bar has been added. Many new extensibility points are included in the codebase. The ability to create "custom" viewers by picking and choosing tools/features from the base viewer is now implemented in a basic manner.
