Online Grades is a program that allows K-12+ student grades to be posted onto a dynamic Web site. Online Grades is not a Web-based gradebook. Instead, it accepts grade export information from several popular gradebook software programs (such as Easy Grade Pro, Gradekeeper, Misty City's Grade Machine, and PGGP) and places the grade information online securely. Online Grades was originally based on the SourceForge project Basmati, and backward compatibility has been maintained.

Recent releases

Changes: Updates were made to the login code to prevent SQL injections, which would allow someone to log in without having a valid password. A rich text editor is used for notes. CSV data can be uploaded in the administrative interface. A Web based database schema installer was added to help with fresh installs. The ability to accept assignment dates in the export from the grade book software was added.

Changes: Updates were made to the login files in each area to remove an SQL injection vulnerability.

Changes: This release incorporates several bugfixes and adds a few new minor features. There are no database changes this release, so upgrading consists only of upgrading the files on your server to the new versions. A bug which caused all interfaces to go offline when the student area is set to be offline was fixed. The bug which prevented faculty from changing their password was fixed.

Changes: A drop-down list for choosing a school is now offered at login. Multiple Admin Interface tools were added for viewing, deleting, editing, exporting class, student, teacher, and parent data. This version requires MySQL version 4.1.x or later. New documentation can be found online at http://docs.onlinegrades.org.

Changes: Administrators can change all the common configurations options via the administrative interface. There are semi-admin logins that give restricted access to the administrative interface. Parents are now able to have their own login. If they have more than one student, they only need their single login to access all their students' grades.
