Open Tax Solver
OTS is an easy program for calculating personal income tax form entries and taxes-owed or refund due. It handles forms such as US-Fed-1040, with forms A, B, C, D, AMT worksheets, and state income taxes, as well as Canada and UK income taxes.

Changes: The OTS GUI was recompiled due to a fix in the OTK graphics library of a missing text-cursor.

Changes: Further improvements were made to the OpenTaxSolver GUI, based on user to comments and suggestions. In the US and CA templates, some comment lines were adjusted. A check was added in the AMT calculation. A new form, 8829 for business taxes, was contributed. Enhancements were also made to the Make files.

Changes: Some minor improvements were made to the OTS GUI. A small line-number update was made on the NJ State version. All US 1040 and State versions appear complete and stable.

Changes: Updated State Tax solvers were added for Virgina, New York, and Massachusetts for the 2008 tax year. The release also contains the US Federal and State tax versions for CA, PA, OH, NJ, and NC, which had been previously updated for 2008.
