PHAkt
PHAkt is an open-source PHP extension for Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, allowing PHP generation using the same techniques as when developing ASP/JSP/CF. PHAkt has a lot of improvements over the original PHP_MySQL server model of Macromedia Dreamweaver MX, including support for multiple databases in a transparent way, support for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MsSQL date locales, user authentication server behaviors, master/detail server behaviors, go to detail page server behaviors, improved code generation, and multiple and extensible recordset support. IIS and Apache 2 are supported by using absolute redirects.

Changes: This version includes a major upgrade to ADOdb 4.11 for better database compatibility. Also, a bug in Restrict Access to Page and another one in the HTTP driver were corrected. The QuB caching check-box from connection for QuB > 2.7.0 was taken out. The logging was improved for easier error detection. Other miscellaneous bugs were fixed and minor improvements were made.

Changes: This release includes fixes for all Dreamweaver MX 2004 compatibility problems the previously reported bugs. It includes improved database support with a major upgrade to ADOdb 4.0.1 and separates the InterAKT code from the ADOdb original code, includes new generated code in order to work flawlessly with different versions of PHP (4.1.x, 4.2.x and 4.3.x) and php.ini settings (warnings set to on/off, magic quotes set to on/off), and features a straightforward update procedure to automatically install the PHAkt required files.

Changes: This version optimizes the HTTP database driver, adds support for new SQL types (float(x,y), decimal(x,y), enum, and set), adds some improvements to ADOdb for Firebird, solves some Mac compatibility problems, and adds (experimental) DB2 support. The "Logout User" feature now works with “register_globals=Off”.
