About:
php Dealer Locator is a quick and easy Web-based
PHP application that lets you keep track of your
business's dealers. This allows your visitors to
find the nearest store or dealer by searching by
name, distance, city, and zipcode. It is a
"drop-in" application that works no matter how
many dealers or stores there are.

Nice program, but...
by mugitty - Feb 10th 2003 07:54:11
I realize that there's a lot of coding that went into this (much more than
I could hope to accomplish) and that it's being offered as open source, but
the only way to contact the author at all seems to be if one blindly
purchases support.
This is somewhat a disservice to an otherwise excellent program as (just
in case someone finds an error in the code) you are unable to alert the
author.
Two observations:
1) Some entries yield no results when the origin zip code is the same as
the dealer zipcode. It is not consistent, but I have a dealer entered in
ZIP 99336, and if I search on 99336, I get no result- if I search on 99337,
the listing shows up.
2) ALL sorting options from the results pages result in an SQL error.

Contact can be made at http://www.yourphppro.com
Inconsistant SQL returns are caused by mySQL. Upgrading to latest/greatest
mySQL normally takes care of the problems.
Upgrading to latest version fixes sql errors when sorting.
