PHP Service Monitor is a basic server/service monitor where you specify what server and what services you want to monitor for each specific server. It will monitor the services, and notify you via email and GUI if the service is down.

Changes: The notification email now contains the server name in addition to the IP address. A problem where the client still made a connection to the mail server even if the SMTP notification type was turned off was fixed.


Changes: This release has the ability to delete services from a server being monitored. It has better update/delete functionality. SQL has changed to use foreign key constraints. This is the last release before a complete rewrite to allow for a better administration and speed.


Changes: The ability to ping was added, making it possible to monitor switches, hubs, and routers. Normal users are no longer presented with the ability to administer servers.


Changes: Authentication was added for administrative tasks like adding, deleting, or editing a server. An IP address validator was added, so you cannot enter invalid IP addresses. French documentation was added. A small modification was made to the look and feel.


Changes: This release is MySQL-driven (no more flat files or arrays). The ability to add/edit server parameters on the fly has been added. A basic list of services is available for common servers. There is a new look and feel. A lot of new services can be monitored.
