Changes: This release provided a better way to stop the local HTTP server, fixing freezes on exit when using a proxy server. Dragging of directories from Picard's browser to MB releases was fixed. File names containing '&' are now displayed correctly in the status bar. The %country file naming variable works again. Only the Unicode functions from gettext are used. If the directory from the last session doesn't exist, the program now tries to find the first existing one in the same path.

Changes: Support was added for the GNOME and KDE browsers, in addition to the BROWSER environment variable. A bug that caused crashes in Pango was fixed. The tport= parameter was added to the CD lookup URLs. New code was added for checking for user name and password that doesn't block Picard when the Internet connection is down. A bug that caused the directory selector to become "sticky" after drag & drop on Windows was fixed. Support for "Windows-safe" file names on non-Windows systems was added (for files on FAT32, Samba, etc.).
