About:
pico (PIne COmposer) is a text editor similar to joe included in the pine emailer. What it lacks in features it gains in ease-of-use. It also has win95 ports. An updated version is included in the Pine 4.0 is in preview release.

Vi was the first editior I learned. Its not that hard if your willing to read the entire chapter in your ${POSIX_COMPLIANT_OS_YOU_MOST_PREFER} book on it

    The one true vi tutorial is ``An Introduction to Display Editing With Vi'' by Joy and Horton. Here. Vi makes no sense until you have read that! However, a few grams of mushrooms may also help.

I love PICO. :) But what's the "coding for beginners" thing? I just coded *all* of the freshmeat scripts in perl (since fm isn't releasing their php3 code), in PICO.

    I installed Pine and Pico for my users. Is there a Pico tutorial? Or at least a man-page? I'd like to have a link on my user software page. I know it's sposta be self-explanatory, but a tutorial will make them feel loved.
