PV is a tool to view pictures. It features support for multiple files specified in the command-line arguments, auto-skipping for unreadable files, auto-resizing, zooming in and out with smoothing techniques, fullscreen mode, picture rotating, and saving images to PNG files, compatible with XFE file associations. Current supported file formats are BMP, PNM (PPM/PGM/PBM), XPM, LBM, PCX, GIF, JPEG, PNG, TGA, and TIFF.

Changes: A benchmark testing mode option has been added. It's now possible to benchmark the loading time of pictures. Future releases will be more focused on loading speed and performance improvements in picture loading time. Some minor bugs have been corrected. A verbose mode to debug the program has been added.


Changes: The readen file list is now sorted alphabetically by quicksort. It's now more comfortable to use pv with a filebrowser like xfe. A small man page for pv has been added. A big memory problem has been fixed with the dynamically created file list table at the startup of the program. The program should no longer crash at startup while parsing the files in the current directory. The backspace key problem has been fixed, and a loading string has been added to the title bar at startup.


Changes: This release adds a scrolling feature (normal view and zoom mode view) with mouse and keyboard support, a zoom in/out feature with smoothing technics, X File Explorer (XFE) file associations support, and the ability to switch to previous and next images once the picture viewer is started. An internal file list loader in the current directory avoids shell's "*" globing limitation. There is sustained fire support to switch to the previous or next image. Some new shortcuts have been added to be compatible with the Windows users. There are major bugfixes and some speed improvements.


Changes: PV now supports saving image files to 24-bit PNG files. You can now rotate pictures and save them directly.
