PodWiki is a collaboratve Web-based authoring tool written in Perl which differs from other WikiWiki tools in that it uses Perl POD as its markup language. It is easy to install, runs on mod_perl, and has all required features of a WikiWiki tool, and in addition a build-in revision control system, authentication (users/groups), and evaluation of Perl code.

Recent releases


Changes: This release was relicensed under the BSD license. The TWiki formatter support has been abandoned, since the module contained GPL code which is no longer compatible with podwiki.


Changes: This release has much better spam protection for comments. PodWiki now also understands BBcode. A management interface has been added for comment maintenance.


Changes: A lot of major bugs have been fixed in this release. PodWiki now fully supports the Creole 0.3 markup, which is the default non-POD markup from now on. CAPTCHA support, interwiki link support, SEO support, email address encoding, tags and tag-cloud, and full template support were added. Configuration is now possible from the admin page.
