Qtractor is an Audio/MIDI multi-track sequencer application. The initial target platform is Linux, using the infrastructure of the Jack Audio Connection Kit (JACK) for audio and the Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) for MIDI. It is meant to be a fairly-featured Linux desktop audio workstation GUI, specially dedicated to the personal home studio.

Changes: MIDI controller mapping is now featured for generic and feedback control surface support. Audio/MIDI multi-clip merging and export is now possible Snap precision on dragging and /moving clips have been improved. There are other assorted fixes.


Changes: A MIDI editor snap grid is now featured. Multi-clip selection was improved for the normalize and quantize commands. Audio exporting in the presence of in-flight sample-rate conversion is now fixed. MIDI and audio playback synchronization was enhanced. SSE optimization was enabled. A few more fixes were made for some lurking bugs.


Changes: Tempo-map/Time-signature support is the major feature addition of this release. Experimental support was added for MIDI Song Position sequencing. The MIDI Clip Quantize command was added. Zoom direction mode is now an option. MP3 audio format support has been fixed. Many other assorted fixes and brand new bugs were made.


Changes: There is a new Paste-Repeat command. Punch in/out recording is now available. Session/project template support has been added. Current track auto-monitoring is now featured. MIDI buses now support multi-timbral instrument plug-ins. Individual clip gain/volume, normalization, and audio/MIDI file export features are now introduced. Copy/paste to the desktop environment clipboard is finally a reality, and there are many fixes and new bugs.


Changes: A spurious MIDI events recording bug has been fixed. Audio track monitoring and plug-in loop processing has been slightly improved if not fixed. The MIDI clip editor has improved precision and correct snapping. Multiple track mute and solo one-click toggling. Better MIDI connection persistence across sessions. Record-armed tracks aren't muted on playback anymore. Optimized audio clip waveform caching and drawing. Many other fixes.
