Rad Upload is a drag and drop file upload applet with a progress monitor. Advanced features include recursive upload of directories and setting upload limits at the client side. Bandwidth saving options include filtering out unwanted file types, compression, and resizing images before they are uploaded. Both HTTP/HTTPS and FTP protocols are supported, and files can be uploaded using copy and paste, as well as with an optional traditional browse button.

Recent releases

Changes: This release keeps the software up to date with new browser versions and Java plugin changes. The proxy detection code has been rewritten, and this release works much better when behind non-transparent proxies.

Changes: There are two bugfixes related to FTP uploads (HTTP uploads were not affected). These were related to redirecting on upload completion and a minor incompatibility with some FTP servers. A new code signing certificate valid until June 2010 has been used to sign the applet (the current certificate expires June 10, 2008).

Changes: Resumable HTTP upload is now supported. Very large files can now be uploaded almost independent of server limitations.

Changes: A minor bug in client side filtering (by file type) and an incompatibility with tnftpd on Mac OS X were fixed.

Changes: The new progress monitors (previously available only in Rad Upload Plus) have been made available for the standard and lite edition as well.
