All releases of Sahana Disaster Management System

Changes: An upgraded security framework with auditing, paging, Web services, RSS, and a lot of AJAX functionality are some of the highlighted features in this release. The packages include a PortableApp version of Sahana and a new Windows installer. There were also numerous bugfixes, quality improvements, and enhancements.

Changes: Major enhancements to this release include the new Sahana PortableApp USB version, which can be used in the field without installation by carrying both the data and the system on the USB device. Other additions include the DVR module that is used to track displaced families and evacuees as they register with a coordination authority. There is more consistency in terms of error handling, GIS, alerts, and security.

Changes: Two new modules were added, namely "Volunteer Management" (especially for NGOs) and "Synchronization" (for peer to peer synchronization of data between two or more Sahana instances). The "Messaging" module now has the ability to create and send to SMS/email groups. The Sahana framework has been updated with consistent confirmation/error messages, breadcrumbs, tighter GIS integration, and access to all configuration variables for the admin.

Changes: In this release, eight core modules of Organization Registry, Missing Person Registry, Inventory Management, Request/Aid Management, Volunteer Coordination, Catalogue System, Camp Registry, and Situation Mapping are being released with the "User Preferences" and an updated Admin Module. Sahana is available as source package (tar.gz and ZIP), Debian/Ubuntu package, Red Hat/Fedora package, and a custom Sahana live CD.

Changes: Most of the changes are in the form of usability enhancements, bugfixes, and minor enhancements based on the feedback of the previous release.

Changes: New features include the support of multiple incident management in the framework. New modules include the inventory management system, catalog system, volunteer management, and incident mapping. The existing camp registry, missing people registry, organization registry, and pledge/request management system have been greatly enhanced. The Web-based setup process has been improved in terms of usability.

Changes: Minor bugfixes were done with the objective of stability. GPS coordinates were added to GIS maps. Localization admin interfaces and RMS admin pages were added for completeness.

Changes: New aid/donor pledge management features, new volunteer and organization sub-activity management features, initial GIS module integration with Google maps for positioning the location of camps, and enhanced search with the tracking of reporting persons, as listing the network people looking for a missing person can help connect people. Each module now has many more features that can be customized from the admin page. Security features such as roles, groups, users, and permissions per module were added.
