Setedit
Setedit is a text editor specially designed for programmers. It has a nice interface with mouse support, menus and windows (text mode). The editor is a very good choice for people with DOS background, especially people accustomed to Worstar and Borland editors. The editor has overlapped windows so you can see more than one file at the same time, configurable syntax highlighting, macros, rectangular selection, block indentation, as well as customizable keyboard shortcuts and menus.

Changes: This release adds debugger features for Linux targets. The editor can now use gdb to debug programs. This release also supports more Unix platforms (Darwin, NetBSD, OpenBSD, and more) and fixes some problems for most targets (thanks to the use of Turbo Vision 2.0.3).

Changes: This release adds support for more platforms and targets, like native X11 support, Solaris, QNX, FreeBSD, big endian platforms, etc. The support for XTerm and Eterm was also enhanced. You'll find 41 new features and 26 fixes in this release.

Changes: This is a new major release with many bugfixes and enhancements. The most important changes come from Turbo Vision 2.x, which adds the concept of drivers. The editor now supports X11 in native mode and has better support for XTerm and Eterm. The Linux console support was also enhanced, adding fonts support. There are drivers for QNX and generic UNIX terminals (tested under FreeBSD). The X11 driver is known to work for Linux and Solaris. New drivers for Win32 as a native application are available, including an experimental graphics driver. The DOS driver is now safer.

Changes: This release fixes 68 bugs and adds 94 new things. Some of them are bzip2 support, a new calculator parser, a configurable status line, a browse option for functions list, ability to run external programs in background, more tab and indentation options, more syntax highlights, new sLisp commands, and much more.

May be, the next release will support TAGS and this will enable such a feature. If you are interested in testing pre-releases and similar things please subscribe to the mailing list and send a mail about this topic.
Code Completion?
Any possibility to have code completion in Setedit in a next version? It would be really nice and I would then discard any X-based IDE's and use only Setedit in my 1024x768 frambuffer mode :P.

Try this editor at least once, you could love it!
Excelent expandable realtime syntax highlight, handy pseudo macros and real macros, multiple windows, intuitive interface, light weight, fast, very configurable, nice look, what else could you expect?
