shalvideo

shalvideo allows you to program the TV recording feature of your computer just like a video recorder. Just set the channel, quality, and start and end times, and it uses mplayer and atd for the encoding and timing processes. It is made using KDE libraries.

Changes: Periodicity is now fully configurable, allowing the selection of the days of the week in which recording is desired. The queued recordings are now saved in plain text (human readable) files instead of a binary file. Using the v4l2 driver is enabled. The output record file now has the correct format, so the alphabetical order and the date order are the same. Some missing header includes were fixed. The problem in which the configuration was not saved if no config file exists was fixed. A French translation was added.

Changes: The problem with default methods in the source is hopefully solved, and compilation has no problems with gcc 3. The programming periodicity "from monday to friday" now works.

Changes: There are new features in records, such as user-custom quality and specific directory output. Also, there is a directory for configuration. The old config file can be used, but it has to be moved from ~/.shalVideorc to ~/.shalvideo/config. Note that your currently programmed records cannot be read by this new version, so delete them before upgrading.

Changes: The Mixer settings are fully configurable in a specific dialog. There is a new menu bar in the main window. The new style of recordings is internal and uses the real starting time for recording length. This fixes some 'strange' behavior happening if the computer is off when the recording must start.
