Slideshow Creator is a GUI for creating, modifying, and previewing JPEG image slide shows that can later be finalized with dvd-slideshow. It can be used to add effects like cropping, ken burns, and scrolling. It can also add a soudtrack to the video. A DVD produced with this method can be played in table top players.

Changes: Direct opening of slideshows passed on command line is now supported. A duplication error and a missing audio test were fixed.


Changes: The deb format is now used for external package creation, and alien is used for RPM conversion. A graphical row was implemented for the list. Indications of slideshow time (ST) and audio time (AT) were implemented in the row. Audio file positional prelistening was implemented for the current row. Comments may be managed inline in direct text editing. The Slideshow and rowThumb classes were introduced.


Changes: This release adds images icons preview in the rows list, picture caching and thumbnails management, icons for rows of a type different than those for images, icon symbols for image row types (none, crop, etc.), and a sub-window zoom in/out function for "real" sub-window preview. Fast sub-window redraws have been optimized (i.e. when dragging size/position sliders). dvd-slideshow execution has been changed to SHELL. Player execution has been fixed to respect the configuration.


Changes: This release has a transitions preview with background fusion and real duration with FPS control, DVD slideshow building and playback, selection only building and playback, tooltips for important commands, an options form, and better filters in the open dialog. It fixes a nonexistant audio error bug, and a small bug in "New slideshow from dir" (last transition must be a fadeout).


Changes: This release includes recent edited files list management, a Dir 2 Slideshow procedure in the Tools menu, sound listening (new dependency: gambas-gb-sdl), a picking dialog for single images, audiofile, and backgroundimage, customizeable subwins colors with the colorselect dialog, various button icons (play/pause/stop, up/down, and colorpick), added icons, complete background preview and background/image fusion, a detachable preview window, and a resizable preview feature.
