be read. Message reading was enhanced. More robust
styles of communication with Speech Dispatcher
were introduced.

Changes: The output mechanism was modularized and redesigned to support multiple output devices. The most important impact of this change is BrlTTY support, which works in a way similar to how speech output works. This means that speechd-el can be used with both Speech Dispatcher and BrlTTY now.

Changes: Whitespace is now signalled. The last speech output can be repeated in character reading prompts. Language selection based on current input method is now possible. Asynchronous action handling and overall responsiveness were improved, and spelling errors were corrected.
