SuperRescue is a single very large bootable system-on-a-disk. It's based on the observation that the vast majority of systems allow you to do so much more than the minimal system. Therefore, it isn't for everything, but for most desktop systems, it provides a much nicer rescue environment than your average rescue floppy. It requires an i386 PC with 24 MB of RAM and a bootable CD-ROM. PCMCIA support is implemented but somewhat limited. It is based on RedHat 7. (Version 1 is based on RedHat 6.)

Changes: This version updates the kernel to 2.4.20-rc1, and a 2.4.20-pre5 kernel is also included. Booting from a USB CD-ROM should actually work now.

Changes: This is a new upstream release based on RedHat 7.2 and kernel 2.4.18-pre7-ac3; it also adds support for use as a network bootmaster.

Changes: This version fixes a number of bugs in the build script, which was basically unusable in 2.0.0. Like all "letter" releases, this update affects you only if you intend to build custom versions using the build scripts.

Changes: This release is based on RedHat 7.1. It uses a compressed ISO 9660 filesystem to contain 1.3 GB of software on the single CD.

Changes: This fixes a one-line bug in the build script. As usual, lettered releases differ only if you are using the build scripts to build your own customized version, and if you already have the unlettered version, you can download the "buildtree" tarball instead of the full ISO image.

SuperRescue still is the best rescue cd for us.
I have a test server using software raid.
this works on SR, not on K:
cd /mnt
mkdir disk1
mount /dev/md1 disk1
Knoppix is great for many things. SuperRescue is just a better Rescue cd for me.
I Need documentation about SuperRescue 2 (How to use it?)
