SuperTux is a side-scrolling platform game. The hero in this game is Tux the Penguin, the game's only reference to Linux. On the journey to rescue Penny, who has been kidnapped by evil Nolok, Tux faces 23 different kinds of bad guys while jumping and running through 101 beautifully-drawn levels. The soundtrack is available on last.fm and similar sites.

Changes: Tux can no longer collect bonus items if he is dying, and won't stay alive when falling into the ground if he is invincible. The game no longe crashes or hangs if there is no audio device available.


Changes: This release has completely new graphics, a basic storyline, new enemies, new music, a world map, 26 fully playable levels, configurable joystick and keyboard support, a new s-expr based file format, a converter script for old levels (levelconverter-0.0.6_0.0.7.py), automagic detection of the datafile location, a Win32 port, and config file support. It has been switched completly to C++.


Changes: A second level was created. Title and option menus were added. The method for extending the game with further levels was simplified. Bugfixes were made. Source and Makefile cleanups were done.
