Sweep
Sweep is an audio editor and live playback tool. It supports many music and voice formats including WAV, AIFF, Ogg Vorbis, Speex, and MP3, with multichannel editing and LADSPA effects plugins. Inside lives a pesky little virtual stylus called Scrubby who enjoys mixing around in your files.

Changes: ALSA is now the default driver. See README.OSS for OSS support. The minimum supported GTK version was raised to 2.4. The "hand tool" was added for panning the display with inertia. Multiple files can now be opened via the GTK file selector. Accelerator editing via the usual GTK method was implemented. tdb lock override was added. Support for libsndfile0 was removed. Direct flac support was removed, as it's supported by libsndfile now.

Changes: This maintainance release fixed a bug that prevented ALSA devices from being populated in the settings. The bug was only apparent when you built with ALSA and didn't have a previous installation that used ALSA. Upgrading is recommended if you have had problems getting any sound output.

Changes: This release is the first to use GTK+ 2 for the interface. It also has updated Spanish and Polish translations and various bugfixes.

Changes: This release includes new support for ALSA 0.9. Speex encoding was updated to cover all options of Speex 1.0. Improvements have been made to internationalization, including new Greek and Russian translations and updates for German and Italian.
