Synergy for Mac OS X
Synergy is a tiny Cocoa application for Mac OS X 10.2 (and later) that puts three buttons to control iTunes in your menubar: previous track, next track, and play/pause. It also provides you with visual feedback about the currently playing tune and allows you to control iTunes via system-wide hot key combinations. These features provide a very fast way of skipping between songs when using the keyboard or the mouse, without having to switch to iTunes or access its Dock menu.

Changes: "Xidius' Transparent Bar" replaces "Safari" as the default button set. This button set is especially designed for Leopard but also looks great on Tiger. The default button-set spacing was reduced to zero pixels, since the vast majority of button sets are designed with this in mind. Final compatibility changes were made for Leopard: this version of Synergy has been tested against the latest preview release seeded to developers.

Changes: The codebase was inspected for Leopard compatibility. The robustness for notification-handling code was increased. This version is qualified for use with iTunes 7.3.1. The latest version of the installer (Install 1.3.1) is now used. Seven new free button sets were added.

Changes: Enhancements were made to the installer (clearer uninstallation, UI tweaks). One new button set ("Kamino 2" by Bastian Olea) was added to the online gallery. This version is qualified for use with iTunes version 7.2. Escaping of special characters in URLs when performing cover art searches on Amazon was improved.
