Gallery is a slick Web-based photo album written using PHP. It is easy to install, includes a config wizard, and provides users with the ability to create and maintain their own albums in the album collection via an intuitive Web interface. Photo management includes automatic thumbnail creation, image resizing, rotation, ordering, captioning and more. Albums can have read, write, and caption permissions per individual authenticated user for an additional level of privacy.

Recent commentsGallery on a Linksys NSLU2
I am looking at running a web photo gallery server for my family and friends on a linksys NSLU2. The NSLU2 is a home USB-NAS device that is built, as I understand it, around a 266 MHZ MB with no video card.
Is there any experience out there running Gallery on a "slug?" Is this the right piece of software or is there a better one for a low-power server such as this? Can gallery be run on a server w/o a video card? Any thoughts?
Thanks for any help--I appreciate it.

installing/upgrading gallery 2.2
I really need a lot of help installing this program hopefully someone here can help me. Whenever I go to this website http://mango.zuiken.net/upgrade/index.php It says that I need to upgrade gallery to 2.2. I follow the instructions but I get stuck when it asks me to create a new text file called login.txt in the mango.zuiken.net directory on my webserver (that's the same directory where main.php is located). It must contain the following randomly generated characters: e3bcc6dac99a048600737c68c53012a6
I have no idea what that means. I have to copy and paste this on my address bar or what?? please someone help me with this. Thanks
Worked for me
I replace my cheesy home made php gallery with The Gallery 1.4.4-pl4. It was easy to install and I've already started customizing the look of my galleries.
Good job!
Re: should be as easy as Pixory to install
Gallery is really easy to install, no database backend no real horrible tool dependencies.
And version 1.4 has really "nice" error messages .-)
