Changes: The theme for this release is to have a single directory for extensions and dependencies. This greatly improves systems resources by having a single copy of dependencies, and also greatly improves flexibility in "moving" applications present upon boot, dependency auditing, and both batch and selective updating. It greatly improves boot times using the default mode of operation.

Changes: Tiny Core and Micro Core were made easier to use by standardizing on a single extension installation method (mount) while still supporting 'copy into filesystem'. Also new is a tiny application extension browser (ab) in the shell. It is ideal for micro core users. Users can now tune their system's boot time for even faster booting by using new 'on demand' load & go extension shortcuts.

Changes: Major upgrades throughout the system. A new USB installation program. Better support for command line operation of micro core. Improved support of alternate window managers and X servers. rootfs has been changed to tmpfs.

Changes: This release introduces MicroCore, a 7MB no X environment ISO based on Tiny Core. There are also Core Elements, specialized mounted extensions to give Micro Core full Tiny Core functionality. There are major updates and upgrades throughout the system. Fewer boot codes are required.

Changes: Major upgrades were made throughout the distribution. Linux kernel 2.6.29.1 is used. Glibc 2.9 is used. New Xlibs were added. Handling of CDROM and DVD links was improved. Improvements were made to appbrowser. A new window manager is used.
