URBI is a universal script language for
controlling robots. It can be interfaced with
C++, Java, and Matlab using a client/server
architecture. It includes powerful parallel
processing capabilities, event-driven
programming, and complex variable trajectory
generation. It can also be used to script video
games. It is used by academic research labs,
the industry, and by hobbyists, and is
currently available for the Aibo robot and the
Webots simulator.
