The VideoLAN MiniServer (vlms) is a streaming server that works with the VideoLAN Client. It can read MPEG or MPEG2 streams (from a DVD, a file, or an encoding card) and send them through the network to a remote host or to a broadcast/multicast IP address. It has no scripting support but can easily be integrated into shell scripts.

Changes: In this release, VLMS now generates valid CRCs. Embedded A/52, DVD SPU and LPCM elementary streams now have a different stream type, to avoid a collision with streams coming from the American television which used to same numbers differently.

Changes: Support for MPEG1 files, and fixes for a lot of stream parsing bugs.

Due to a rack installation, some VideoLAN services will be down for some time today around midnight (CEST). The main website, forum, SVN and trac will be down during that time. Sorry for the inconvenience
Although it's the 28th now, so they might be having some trouble.
Server down?
Since two days I can't reach the server. Is it my ISP or is the server down? Since I use DSL, I can't just go and try out another ISP =( Does anyone know if this project has a mirror somewhere?
